Here's a picture of me and the new Hog up in Milwaukee for the 100th Anniversary. I have added a chrome luggage rack on the Tour Pack and installed Screaming Eagle high performance mufflers with fishtail end caps. The bike has over 20,000 miles on it now and I have already gone through two rear tires. I installed an XM Radio for traveling in the mountains and an EZPass transponder for traveling in the Northeast.
  • I am still working at Norfolk Naval Shipyard and still working out of a cardboard box. I am now a Project Superintendent on a construction project in the yard. It is a 16.8 million dollar renovation of a refueling support building. It keeps me running.
  • This past year I went to Daytona for all of Bike Week. It is getting harder and harder to find a place to camp, so I have an RV lot reserved in the Bulow Campground. This year was the total opposite of last year. It did not rain at all. Had six other campers (from Charleston) join me on the campsite. Eric Bostrom got the pole for the 200 on the factory Ducati, and clearly had the fastest bike, but it blew up much to the chagrin of the assembled Ducatisti.

Rode up to Buena Vista for a weekend in June. It was nice to be up in the mountains and to get out of the heat.

Over Labor Day weekend I rode up to New York and hooked up with Jim Mahoney. He just bought a new Road King Custom. Jim and I rode up to Cooperstown, NY to the Baseball Hall of Fame. After that, we took a spin through the Adirondacks and back to Cold Spring.

In October I rode out to Virginia International Raceway to see the final rounds of the AMA Superbike Races. Great weather, and good racing.

In October I went up to the Naval Foundry in Philadelphia and watched them pour a submarine propeller. 150,000 lbs of aluminum bronze in one pour. It took 20 minutes. Wow! After that I went up to RPI for Alumni Weekend at Delta Tau Delta. Saw a lot of bros I had not seen in 25+ years. Great band party and banquet at the Albany Crowne Plaza.
  • An update on the bikes. The new Harley is broken in and has over 20,000 miles on it. The old Harley has over 119,000 miles on it now and is now the "Daily Beater". The Ducati Monster has over 17,000 miles on it now. Just put new Dunlop D220's on it and new chain (Goldline DID) and sprockets (bumped the rear from 39 to 41 teeth). The Moto-Guzzi is very dependable, but I have replaced nearly every part on it. Bought a nice black Givi tank bag for it at Daytona.
